Preheat oven to 350Β°.
In a bowl, cream the sugar and oleo. Add egg, salt and vanilla, beating well. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk.
Last, fold in berries.
Pour into greased and floured 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan and bake about 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Delicious used warm with milk or ice cream.
