Apricot Wafer Dessert

Bring 1/2 cup butter and eggs to room temperature.
Place apricots in medium pan and add water to 1 inch above fruit. Bring to a boil.
Simmer until tender, about 20 minutes.
Drain. Sieve to make a purΓ©e.
Stir in sugar.
Set aside.
