**Apricot-Pineapple Dessert
**Apricot-Pineapple Dessert is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. orange jello, 1 (no. 2) can apricots, 1 small can crushed pineapple, 1 tbsp. sugar and 1/8 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Dissolve jello in one cup boiling water.
Add sugar, salt, apricots and pineapple with juice (3/4 cup).
Cool until thickens. Fold in Cool Whip.
Cover bottom of 9-inch square pan with half the cake, broken in small pieces. Pour over half fruit jello mixture.
Then another layer of cake pieces and another layer of mixture.
Refrigerate 4 to 5 hours or overnight.
Cut into squares.
Serves 16.
