Apricot Nut Bread
Apricot Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. dried apricots, chopped, 1 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. shortening, 1 egg, well beaten and 1/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Soak dried apricots for 20 minutes.
Cream together 1 cup of sugar, shortening and egg.
Stir in 1/4 cup sugar and orange juice.
Add dry ingredients.
Blend well; drain apricots.
Add with nuts to batter.
Bake in greased and floured loaf pan for 65 minutes in preheated 350Β° oven.
This bread keeps well.
