Mix together flour, baking powder and baking soda.
Cream shortening, ground cloves, cloves, nutmeg. salt, egg and cinnamon together.
Add to flour mixture.
Add applesauce, raisins and chopped walnuts.
Drop onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake in 400Β° oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
