Applesauce Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 c. applesauce, 3/4 c. shortening, 3 eggs, 2 c. sugar and 3 1/2 c. flour (self-rising), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream shortening, sugar and eggs until light.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with applesauce.
