Cream butter and sugar well, add eggs then applesauce.
Mix the flour, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and allspice.
Use some of this to dredge the raisins, nuts and dates.
Add flour and other ingredients and mix well.
Bake 3 loaf pans or 2 large tube pans at 275Β° about 2 hour.
