Apple-Sweet Potato Casserole
Apple-Sweet Potato Casserole is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 34 minutes. Boil sweet potatoes; cool and peel.
Butter sides and bottom of 9 x 13 baking dish.
Slice sweet potatoes 3/4-inch thick and place on bottom of dish.
Peel and slice apples; place layer on potatoes.
Pour half the syrup over them; sprinkle with cinnamon. Repeat the potatoes and apples with the apples on top.
Pour remainder of syrup over them; sprinkle with cinnamon and dot with butter.
Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup water.
Bake in 350Β° oven until hot and bubbling.
Serve hot or room temperature.
If you don't have fresh apples, you may substitute apple pie filling and omit the water.
