Apple Macaroon Dessert
Apple Macaroon Dessert is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 apples, 1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 c. coconut and 1/2 c. nuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Slice apples thinly into 9 x 13-inch pan.
Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples.
Then sprinkle coconut and nuts over apples.
Cream shortening, butter, sugar and egg until fluffy. Stir in vanilla.
Stir in flour.
Spread batter evenly over apples. Bake at 350Β° about 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
May be served with whipped cream or ice cream.
