Apple Crunch
Apple Crunch is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 2 hours 16 minutes. Made with c. light brown sugar, c. oats, c. plus 6 tbsp. flour, c. shortening and c. apples, peeled and sliced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 375Β°. Combine brown sugar, oats and 3 cups of flour. With fingertips, work the shortening. Press half the mixture into bottom of a well greased 10 x 15-inch roasting or baking pan.
Combine apples with remaining flour, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and the sugar; spread on top of the oat mixture.
Add and press down remaining oat mixture. Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon and bake for 40 to 50 minutes.
Serve with ice cream.
