Apple-Cranberry Salad
Apple-Cranberry Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. salad oil, 1/4 c. apple cider or apple juice, 1 tbsp. cider vinegar, 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon and 1/8 tsp. ground cloves, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
For dressing, in a screw top jar, combine oil, cider or juice, vinegar, cinnamon and cloves.
Cover and shake well to mix.
Chill until needed.
If using cranberries, toss berries with 2 tablespoons of the sugar; let stand for 15 minutes.
Toss with remaining 1 tablespoon sugar for a frosted look.
For grapes, which are sweeter, omit the sugar.
Arrange greens on 4 salad plates.
Top with apple slices.
Shake dressing; pour over salads. Top with cranberries or grapes.
Makes 4 to 6 side dish servings.
