Apple Cobbler Rolls

Melt butter in a 13 x 9-inch pan.
Heat sugar and water in saucepan until sugar melts.
Mix lard and flour.
Add milk and stir until dough leaves sides of bowl.
Turn out onto floured board and knead just until smooth.
Roll out into a large rectangle 1/8-inch thick.
Sprinkle cinnamon over apples and then sprinkle apples over dough.
Roll up like jelly roll.
Wet edges of dough with a little water and seal.
Slice dough into 1/2-inch pieces and place in melted butter.
Pour sugar syrup over rolls and bake 50 minutes at 350Β°.
