Apple Butter
Apple Butter is an easy dinner. Made with apples, washed, cored and sliced (16 c. apple pulp), 8 c. sugar, 1 c. cider or vinegar, 4 tsp. cinnamon and 1 tsp. cloves, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Slice unpeeled apples; cook until they are tender and run through colander.
Combine all ingredients.
Cook in covered pan or roaster in a 350Β° oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until a small amount of the mixture will hold its shape when cool.
Stir down from the sides 2 or 3 times during the process.
The Apple Butter does not stick to the pan or scorch.
It does beautifully cooked in crock-pot 5 or 6 hours.
