Angel Flake Biscuits
Angel Flake Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 tbsp. warm water, 1 pkg. yeast, 5 c. plain flour, 4 tbsp. sugar and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Mix warm water and yeast and set aside.
Then in a large mixing bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, soda, baking powder and shortening.
Add buttermilk.
Add yeast mixture and mix well. When dough is mixed well, place in a greased covered container. Put in refrigerator until needed.
Take out what's needed and roll out 1/2-inch thick.
Let rise about 45 minutes before baking. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 400Β° until golden brown.
This dough will keep several days in refrigerator.
