Angel Biscuits
Angel Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. warm water, 1 pkg. dry yeast, 3 tbsp. sugar, 5 c. plain flour and 1 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Dissolve yeast in 2 tablespoons warm water with sugar.
Set aside.
In large bowl, add flour, soda, baking powder and salt. With a pastry blender, by hand cut Crisco into mixture.
Add milk and softened yeast.
Stir until well blended.
Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness and cut into biscuits, using a 2-inch biscuit cutter.
Place on ungreased pan and let rise for 1 hour.
Bake at 450Β° for 10 minutes or until brown.
Yields 24 biscuits.
(Dough may be stored in refrigerator and used as needed.)
Will keep for about a week if covered.
Remove from refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking.
