Ambrosia
Ambrosia is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. milk, 1 c. heavy cream, 4 egg yolks, 1/4 c. sugar and 1 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Section oranges.
Pour milk and cream into top of a double boiler and heat over boiling water until scalded.
Beat egg yolks in a mixing bowl until light and stir in sugar, flour and salt. Add milk mixture slowly, stirring constantly.
Return to double boiler and cook until thick.
Cool; then add sherry.
Place alternate layers of orange sections, custard and coconut ending with coconut.
Chill thoroughly.
