Almond Cream Filling
Almond Cream Filling is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. flour, 1/4 c. sugar, 1/4 c. cold milk, 1 c. hot milk and butter or margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Combine flour, sugar and cold milk.
Add to hot milk in saucepan.
Cook, stirring constantly, until thick, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat; cool to lukewarm.
Cream 1/2 cup butter, confectioners sugar and vanilla.
Add to cooled cooked mixture. Brown almonds in 1 tablespoon butter.
Add to filling.
Chill until firm enough to spread on cake or chiffon roll.
Yields 12 servings.
