Adams County Apple Cake
Adams County Apple Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. flour, 2 c. sugar, 1 c. vegetable oil, 1/3 c. orange juice and 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Combine flour, baking powder, 2 cups sugar, oil, eggs, orange juice, salt and vanilla.
Beat until combined.
In another bowl toss apples with cinnamon and 5 tablespoons sugar.
Spread 1/3 of batter in a greased 10-inch tube pan.
Cover with 1/2 of apples. Repeat layers.
Spoon remaining batter over top.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until cake tests done.
Cool in pan for 20 minutes.
Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
Just before serving, dust with confectioners sugar if desired.
