7 Minute Frosting is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 unbeaten egg whites, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 tsp. light corn syrup or 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar, 1/3 c. cold water and dash of salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Place all ingredients, except vanilla, in top of double boiler.
Do not place over boiling water now; beat on low speed for 1/2 minute.
Place over boiling water, but not touching the water.
Cook and beat until frosting forms peaks, about 7 minutes.
Remove from boiling water.
Add vanilla and beat an additional 2 minutes on high.
Frosts two 8 or 9-inch cake layers.
