6 Week Bran Muffins is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 c. raisin bran, 3 c. sugar, 5 c. sifted flour, 5 tsp. baking soda and 2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

In large bowl, mix 4 cups bran, flour, soda and salt.
Pour into this the rest of the bran mixed with boiling water and shortening.
Add eggs and buttermilk.
Stir well and refrigerate overnight.
Bake as many muffins as needed in a 350Β° oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
Batter keeps 6 weeks in refrigerator.
Makes 5 dozen.
