24 Hour Egg Omelet is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 slices white sandwich bread, crusts trimmed, 3/4 lb. grated longhorn cheese, 4 eggs, slightly beaten, 2 c. milk and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Butter one side of bread.
Cut bread into 1-inch cubes.
Place bread evenly in well-greased 9 x 9-inch pan.
Sprinkle with cheese and sausage.
Beat together eggs, milk, salt, mustard and pepper. Pour over bread mix.
Refrigerate, covered, overnight.
Bake, covered, in oven at 325Β° for about 1 hour, or until mix is set. Uncover last 5 minutes of baking.
