Zesty Butter Sticks
Zesty Butter Sticks is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 loaf french or italian bread (approximately 10 x 14-inch), 1/2 c. butter, softened, 1/2 tsp. chervil, 1/2 tsp. basil leaves and 1/4 tsp. garlic powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 425°.
Cut bread in half lengthwise.
Then cut each piece lengthwise to make 3 wedges (total of 6 wedges).
In small bowl, combine remaining ingredients; blend well.
Spread butter on cut surfaces of bread wedges.
Bake on ungreased 15 x 10-inch baking sheet near center of 425° oven for 7 to 9 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve warm.
Yield: 6 (10-inch) sticks.
