Yeast Rolls
Yeast Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. active dry yeast, 1/4 c. water, 1 c. milk, scalded, 2 tbsp. sugar and 2 tbsp. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Soften dry yeast in warm water.
Combine milk, sugar, salt and shortening .
Cool to lukewarm.
Add 1 cup flour and beat well.
Beat in yeast and egg.
Gradually add remaining flour to form soft dough, kneading well.
Cover and let rise in warm place until dough doubles.
Turn onto floured surface and shape as desired.
Bake at 375Β° for 20 minutes.
Makes approximately 12 rolls.
