Yeast Doughnuts
Yeast Doughnuts is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1 c. warm water, 1/2 c. salt, 3 tbsp. butter, melted and cooled, 2 eggs and 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Mix the yeast mixture, salt, butter, eggs and sugar.
Add flour to make stiff dough.
Let rise for 7 hours.
Roll out and cut doughnuts.
Let rise 40 minutes.
Drop into hot oil and cook until golden brown. Dip into a glaze of powdered sugar and enough water to make a syrup. Always cool standing up sideways.
