Yeast Biscuits
Yeast Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 cups plain flour, 1 tbsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/4 cup sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar.
Dissolve yeast in warm water for 5 minutes.
Add yeast and buttermilk.
Stir just until dry ingredients are moistened.
Turn out on floured surface and knead lightly about 10 times.
Roll to 1/2 inch thick and cut with a 2 inch cutter.
Place on ungreased baking sheet, cover and let rise about 45 minutes.
Bake in preheated 425Β° oven about 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
