Yeast Biscuits
Yeast Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 or 6 c. all-purpose flour, 1/4 c. sugar plus 1 tbsp., 1 c. shortening, 2 pkg. dry yeast and 2 1/2 c. or more buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Sift dry ingredients together.
Cut in shortening.
Dissolve the yeast in the warm water with the tablespoon of sugar added first.
Let set to foam.
Add buttermilk and yeast mixture to dry ingredients; mix well.
Put on floured board.
Add more flour, if needed, to handle good.
Roll out, cut and then dip in melted margarine.
Let rise.
Bake at 350Β° for 15 minutes or until done. (Different ovens vary in temperature.)
