Yeast Biscuits
Yeast Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. yeast, 2 c. lukewarm water, 4 c. bread flour, 2 tsp. sugar or 3 tbsp. honey and 1/2 c. crisco or butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water.
Add flour, salt, sugar, 1/4 cup Crisco and remainder of water.
Add flour, if needed and work dough until it isn't sticky.
Grease top of dough.
Cover and let double in size (about 2 1/2 hours).
Pinch off dough and roll into biscuits (about the size of a small peach).
Flip biscuits over in a greased baking pan (remaining 1/4 cup Crisco goes in pan for baking).
Let rise until doubled again.
Bake at 350° until starts browning, then turn oven to 400° and bake until golden brown.
