Wylene's Wild Rice Baron
Wylene'S Wild Rice Baron is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 oz. uncle ben's long grain wild rice, 1/2 c. margarine, 1 large green pepper, chopped, 1 medium onion, chopped and 4 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Prepare rice according to directions.
Saute green pepper, onion and mushrooms in margarine.
Drain rice, if necessary. Layer rice, then sauteed vegetables and cover with cheese in a
1 1/2 to 2-quart casserole dish.
Pour half and half over the top.
Bake, covered, for 15 minutes and then uncovered for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
This is very good with Sherried Beef.
