Cream the first 5 ingredients well.
Add egg.
Add oatmeal, coconut and chopped nuts; set aside.
Sift together the flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt.
Add to creamed mixture, stirring well.
Add corn flakes.
Roll in 1-inch balls.
Mash with fork and bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350Β°.
