World's Best Cookie
World'S Best Cookie is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, 1 c. sugar, 1 c. firm brown sugar, 1 egg and 1 c. salad oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Heat oven to 325Β°.
Cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
Add egg, mix well, then oil and mix well.
Add oats, cornflakes, coconut and nuts, stirring well.
Then add flour, soda and salt.
Mix well and form into balls the size of small walnuts.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten with a fork dipped in water.
Bake for about 12 minutes.
Allow to cool on cookie sheet for a few minutes before removing.
If desired, sprinkle warm cookies with granulated sugar for extra sweetness! These really are "the world's best" cookie!
Makes about 8 dozen.
