Williamsburg Gingerbread Cookies
Williamsburg Gingerbread Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, softened, 1 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. ginger, 3/4 c. milk and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add spices, lemon flavoring and milk, blending well.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to sugar mixture alternately with molasses to make smooth dough.
Chill in refrigerator 2 hours. Roll out dough 1/4-inch thick.
Cut with fancy cutter and bake on greased and lightly floured cookie sheets until done, about 8 minutes.
Do not overbake.
Makes 5 dozen large cookies.
