Wild Rice
Wild Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 10.5 oz. can beef broth, 2 medium onions, chopped, 1/2 c. wild rice, 1 c. long grain rice and 2 tbsp. butter or 2 tbsp. bacon drippings, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Mix beef broth and enough water to make 2 cups.
Add onions and boil.
Add rinsed wild rice and reduce heat.
Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
Add long grain rice.
Return to boil.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 additional minutes.
Toss with butter or bacon drippings and parsley.
Add chopped pimiento and bacon crumbles.
