Heat milk and flour on stove on low stirring constantly (until like pudding).
In another bowl cream butter and shortening.
Add sugar, whip.
Add vanilla.
Then add flour and milk mixture in 3 parts whipping after each addition.
So good you'll never buy the store brands again!
