Wet Chicken
Wet Chicken is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 12 minutes. Made with whole chicken, c. flour, c. shortening and salt and pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Wash and cut chicken.
Lightly salt and pepper, then place in flour.
Place shortening into frypan on medium heat.
Brown chicken and then place into a large pot with a lid.
After all chicken has been browned, pour remaining drippings over chicken and cover chicken with water.
Bring to a boil and then simmer 1 hour. Remove chicken.
It should have made its own gravy.
Pour over rice or potatoes.
