Western Spoon Bread

Combine green pepper, instant onion and tomatoes in mixing bowl.
Let stand 4 or 5 minutes.
Stir in cornmeal, egg, chili con carne seasoning powder, soda, salt and cheese.
Mix thoroughly. Pour into a well-buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 1 hour or until firm.
Spoon out onto plate and serve hot, either plain or with butter.
