Wesson Oil Fruit Cake
Wesson Oil Fruit Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 4 c. flour, 1 tsp. soda, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1 tsp. cloves, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Sift together first 6 ingredients and set aside.
Combine next 4 ingredients in a large bowl.
Mix well.
Add 1 cup of the flour mixture.
Combine Wesson oil and sugar; beat until light.
Add eggs, 1 at a time.
Beat until light and fluffy.
Add dry ingredients alternately with 1 1/2 cups buttermilk.
Beat until smooth.
Add fruit-nut mixture.
Pour into a greased tube pan. Bake at 300Β° for 2 hours.
Decorate top of cake with candied fruit. Makes 1 tube cake.
