Welsh Cookies
Welsh Cookies is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 1 c. lard, 2 c. sugar, 3 eggs, beaten and 1/4 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cream shortening.
Add sugar and cream well.
Add beaten eggs and milk.
Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture.
Stir in currants.
Roll on lightly floured board to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutter or biscuit cutter.
Bake on ungreased griddle.
Turn when brown.
Turn only once.
Using electric frypan set at 300Β°, fry for 5 minutes on each side.
