Washboard Cookies
Washboard Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 eggs, 1 tsp. soda, 2 tbsp. hot water, 4 1/2 to 5 c. flour and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

π¨βπ³ Instructions
Mix eggs and sugar together, then add shortening.
Mix well. Dissolve soda in hot water and add to above.
Add vanilla, salt and sifted flour.
Amount of flour needed varies with type of flour and size of eggs used.
Mix thoroughly and mold into small balls. Place on cookie sheet and press with fork.
Bake in a 375Β° oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes 6 dozen.
