Warm Pineapple Sundaes
Warm Pineapple Sundaes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (8 oz.) can unsweetened pineapple tidbits (undrained), 2 tbsp. brown sugar, 2 tsp. cornstarch, 1 1/2 tsp. margarine and 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Combine juice, sugar, water and cornstarch in saucepan.
Stir well.
Cook until thickened.
Stir in pineapple, raisins, margarine, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Cook over low heat, stirring until heated.
Stir in vanilla.
Place 1/2 cup or so of ice cream in dessert dish.
Spoon 3 tablespoons warm pineapple sauce over ice cream.
Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon toasted coconut, if deserved. Serve immediately.
