Cook 1/2 fresh pumpkin in oven.
Remove seeds to use later in a snack.
Cook until soft.
Scoop out and mash.
Mix sugar and seasonings with mashed pumpkin.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Add evaporated milk.
Place pumpkin pie mixture into unbaked homemade pie shell.
Bake at 450° and cook for 10 minutes.
Lower heat to 350° and bake for about another 40 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean.
