Vegetable Soup
Vegetable Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. beef cubes, 3 tbsp. beef base, 6 3/4 c. water, 1/2 c. chopped onion and 2/3 c. celery, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Brown beef cubes in large kettle.
Drain off excess fat.
Add beef base, water, onion, celery, thyme and potatoes.
Bring to a boil and simmer until vegetables are tender and meat is cooked, about 1 hour.
Add cabbage, tomatoes, salt, pepper and frozen vegetables.
Bring to a boil, then simmer until frozen vegetables are tender.
Makes 16 (1-cup) servings.
