Vanilla Wafers
Vanilla Wafers is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 1/2 c. shortening, 2/3 c. granulated sugar, 2 tsp. vanilla and 1 tsp. salt (i use 1/2 tsp.), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Cream the butter, shortening and sugar; add vanilla and salt. Add eggs.
Beat well after each egg.
Stir in sifted flour; mix well.
Drop from a teaspoon 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Flatten.
Bake in moderate oven (375Β°) for 8 to 10 minutes or until delicately browned on edges.
Remove immediately from pan.
Makes 7 to 8 dozen cookies.
