Vanilla Refrigerator Cookies

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg; beat well.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Sift dry ingredients together and add to cream mixture. Mix well.
Shape mixture into rolls, 1 1/2-inch in diameter, on Saran Wrap.
Wrap and seal ends.
Chill several hours or overnight. Slice thin and bake on greased cookie sheet at 400Β° for 10 minutes.
Makes three to four dozen cookies.
