Upside Down Apple Pie
Upside Down Apple Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened, 1/2 c. pecan halves, 1/2 c. brown sugar, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and prepared pastry dough for a 2-crust 9-inch pie, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Preheat oven to 400Β°.
Spread butter evenly onto bottom and up sides of a 9-inch pie plate.
Press pecans, rounded sides down into butter.
In small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon.
Pat brown sugar mixture over pecans.
Place one of the prepared pie crusts on top of this mixture.
In medium bowl, combine apples, sugar, flour and Apple Bake Seasoning; toss to coat.
Place apple mixture in pie crust; spreading to make level.
Top with remaining pie crust.
Trim dough edges to 1/2 inch overhang.
Fold and roll top edge under lower edge, pressing on rim to seal securely; flute if desired.
Pierce top of crust with fork to allow steam to escape.
Bake for 50 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from oven; cool 5 minutes on wire rack.
Place serving dish over top of pie; invert.
Remove pie plate.
Serve warm or at room temperature with whipped topping flavored with Vanilla Nut Extract.
