Twinkie Mousse
Twinkie Mousse is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 box twinkies, split longways, 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips, 1/3 c. water, 1/3 c. sugar and 6 egg yolks, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Line 9 x 13-inch pan with split Twinkies, minus one set aside. Combine chocolate chips, water and sugar.
Cook over low heat until melted.
Add egg yolks one at a time, beating mixture after each one; set aside to cool.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into cooked mixture.
Spread over Twinkies.
Let set until firm.
Spread Cool Whip over chocolate mixture.
Refrigerate.
