Twinkie Cake
Twinkie Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yellow cake mix, 1 c. milk, 1/2 c. shortening, 1 tsp. vanilla and 5 heaping tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Bake yellow cake mix with pudding as directed in an oblong pan. When cake is cool, take out of pan.
Use thread or a knife and slice cake lengthwise to make two long layers.
While cake is baking, mix flour with milk.
Cook until thick (about 2 or 3 minutes).
Let cool.
Mix butter and shortening.
Beat 4 minutes with electric mixer.
Add sugar and vanilla.
Beat 4 more minutes. Add cooled flour mixture and beat 4 more minutes.
Spread this mixture on bottom layer of cake and put top layer back on.
Slice into bars.
This tastes exactly like Hostess Twinkies.
