Treasure Chest Bars
Treasure Chest Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sifted flour, 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar and 1/2 c. regular sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Sift first 3 ingredients together and set aside.
Add brown sugar, sugar and butter or margarine.
Cream these ingredients thoroughly; blend in eggs.
Beat well after each addition.
Add vanilla and beat well.
Now add dry ingredients alternately with milk; begin and end with dry ingredients.
Blend well after each addition.
Stir in nuts, chocolate bits and cherries.
Turn into 13 x 9-inch or two 8 x 8-inch pans, greased and floured on bottom and bake at 325Β° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Frost warm.
Cool to serve.
Cut into squares.
