Top Of Stove Meat Loaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, 1/2 c. dried bread crumbs, 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can tomato soup, 1/4 c. finely chopped onion and 1 egg, slightly beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Thoroughly mix beef, crumbs, 1/4 cup soup, onion, egg and seasoning.
Shape firmly into 2 loaves.
Brown on both sides in skillet in 1 tablespoon shortening.
Cover and cook on low heat for 25 minutes.
Spoon off fat.
Pour remaining soup, mixed with water and mustard, over loaves.
Top with cheese and cook.
