"Tony" Cookies
"Tony" Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. chocolate chips, 3 c. sugar frosted flakes, 2 c. flour, 1 tsp. soda and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Melt chips in top of double boiler over hot (not boiling) water, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Crush the flakes to 1 1/2 cups.
Set aside.
Sift together the flour, soda and salt.
Set aside.
Measure margarine and sugar into bowl and beat until very light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients, mix thoroughly.
Fold in crushed flakes.
Swirl warm melted chocolate lightly through batter, leaving streaks of chocolate.
Drop by teaspoon on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 375Β° for 12 minutes.
Makes 5 dozen.
