Mix first 3 ingredients until completely blended.
Add cornstarch to milk and egg yolks.
Stir until blended.
Add milk mixture to chocolate mixture.
Heat on medium to boiling point and add margarine and vanilla.
Mixture will be a thick pudding.
Pour into a cooked pie shell.
Top with Cool Whip, meringue or whipping cream.
